Richie The Gecko, Gecko Animation's mascot is appearing in his first Animation Short!
This animation, by Jonathan Lax, was designed to introduce Richie and his inquisitive nature. Blender was used for almost all stages of production. This included the use of Blender's advanced compositing tools to produce focus and motion blur all without the need for additional post-processing work.
Richie the Gecko was written as an inquisitive character. This short animation is an effort to bring to life Richie's inquisitive nature and its consequences. It was a fun project that involved a complex character rig and much was learnt during its production. We hope to cast Richie in more animation shorts in the future.
